Natural Park of Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser
Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park is in the eastern Pyrenees in Ripollès. With peaks such as Puigmal and Bastiments soaring to almost 3,000 m, it is a key natural region for high-mountain hiking fans and a unique nature area, a prime example of the high Pyrenean mountains which drop down towards the Mediterranean. Its natural and intangible heritage is particularly significant.
In the Capçaleres del Ter and Freser Natural Park, the regulation of motorised vehicle access, which will be in force until October, will be carried out jointly with the Queralbs Municipal Council (Ripollès County) and will apply to vehicles wishing to access both the Fontalba pass and the Gorges del Freser and the Daió de Baix area. In June and July, access will be regulated on weekends and holidays, while in August it will be regulated every day. From the months of September and October, the restrictions will again apply only on weekends.
