Fluvià River

The Fluvià river is a fluvial space that is of great interest as an ecological connector of the volcanic area of La Garrotxa and the coastal area.

It is surely the best example in Catalonia of fluvial systems of the Mediterranean regime, and contains some very interesting elements of vertebrate fauna, such as the mountain barbel and the otter.

A dedicated team with environmental informants will ensure responsible and orderly access to the protected natural areas and the gorges and river areas most often frequented during the summer. In this way, we aim to guarantee the right both to recreation and the protection of the environment.
