Natural Site of National Interest of Albera
At the eastern end of the Pyrenees, to the north of l’Empordà and in the Serra de l’Albera mountain range, there is a natural area with two distinct parts: the western one, home to beech and oak woods, and the eastern one, hosting cork oak groves and scrubland where the Mediterranean tortoise lives.
