Montgrí Massif

In the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, the imposing Montgrí Massif calls to mind the figure of a sleeping and stretched out bishop who seems to be testing the temperature of the Mediterranean water with the tips of his toes. In el Montgrí there are a variety of hiking routes to explore all year round; birds, orchids, dry grasslands, the legendary castle and dry stone are all features of this area. Apart from the ascent to Montgrí Castle, the massif can also be visited on both its inland and coastal sides.
