Serres de Cardó-el Boix Protected Natural Area
The Cardó and Boix mountain ranges constitute a natural space representative of the diversity and uniqueness of the pre-coastal mountain ranges of the central Mediterranean system.
Elements of interest and reasons for inclusion: the peculiar chromaticism of the materials and the morphology rich in singular elements make this space an element of remarkable landscape value. The special interest and the good state of conservation of the oak groves and mixed woods of the shady areas, as well as the good sample of rock vegetation, should be noted. It has rich and varied fauna, with some species of great interest.
