Collsacabra Protected Natural Area
The protected natural area of Collsacabra is a representative example of the diversity of the Catalan Transversal Range, with a spectacular geology that forms high cliffs.
It preserves a good example of the diversity of the natural systems of the Catalan Transversal Range, with spectacular orographic ensembles of great scenic beauty. It also has plant formations of an Atlantic type that are very rarely found in this geographical context.
A dedicated team with environmental informants will ensure responsible and orderly access to the protected natural areas and the gorges and river areas most often frequented during the summer. In this way, we aim to guarantee the right both to recreation and the protection of the environment.

Impacts
We can mention some impacts on this space, such as over-visiting, which are specific to several points (the Sallent waterfall, Mare de Déu del Far and the Cabrera sanctuary). There is also a quarry near the Torrent de la Garganta stream.
The verticality of the relief leads to a great risk of falling boulders, landslides and erosion, and the difficult healing of the marks created by infrastructure elements. On occasion, landslides have occurred due to the opening of forest tracks, near the Sau reservoir.
We should also mention the soil erosion caused by the motorbikes being ridden off the tracks in Sant Joan de Fàbregues.

Given the structural and dynamic characteristics of current natural systems, the systems in this space do not present significant specific problems. However, it is necessary to consider the vulnerability of some Atlantic plant communities and the fragility of certain rare and endemic species of invertebrate fauna.
