Natural Area of Les Gavarres

The Gavarres Protected Natural Area is a fine example of the siliceous coastal mountain ranges of the northern Mediterranean system. It forms a massif which seals off the Empordà plain. It is remarkably varied and an outstanding showcase of the diversity of the sector’s forest ecosystems.
